JOB DESCRIPTION:

Provides support and management of assigned system platforms. Ensures adherence to established data standards, manages the content of the MM database and works to ensure cleansed data is accessible to MM staff for data mining activities. Coordinates report processing and produces reports to assist in data analysis and data mining. Promotes the adoption of automation and technologies that improve efficiencies within department. Assists in electronic processes related to contract management. Oversees vendor management by setting up vendors, establishing vendor accounts and maintaining vendor file.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

BS/BA degree in Business Administration or related field (equivalent experience will be considered).

Three years experience in healthcare MM Information Services or equivalent.

Background in analytical research and process improvement.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and competency with Microsoft Access.
Competency with Material Management Information Systems (MMIS).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience with relational database maintenance.

Advanced Microsoft Access skills

Works independently under the supervision of the Central Distribution Supervisor. (Mailroom) Sort and deliver incoming mail, meter-outgoing mail to the Post office. Handles UPS and FED Ex outgoing mail. (Copy Operator) Provides quality print reproductions of various forms. (Receiving) Verify all incoming supplies and equipment, receive, sort, stage and deliver these items. (Distribution) Inventories or replenishes supply levels of all nursing and ancillary departments. Issues, picks, process and delivers all requests for supplies and equipment to support nursing and ancillary department's needs. Documents all supply replenishment performed enter issues/ credits, patient care equipment and charges. (Courier) Collects and distributes various reports, mail, x-rays, small equipment, supplies, pharmaceuticals, lab specimens and other specified items upon request to various Exempla destinations. PROGRAM COORDINATOR SERVICE CONTRACTS -Wheat Ridge, CO

Responsible for the coordination, consolidation and management of all contractual agreements related to equipment maintenance and repair, eases, and rentals of equipment and purchased services. Prepares bid documents and analyzes the responses to them. Coordinates negotiations with appropriate parties. Prepares final contracts and negotiates terms within them. Monitors and audits vendor performance against contract obligations. Maintains filing systems to support contract management activities. Ensures payments to vendors are pursuant to contract terms.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma.

Three years in healthcare Materiel Management or equivalent experience in a purchasing capacity.

Experience in contract formation, negotiation and interpretation.

Competency with basic spreadsheet and word processing programs (Microsoft Suite) and MMIS systems.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

BS/BA degree in Business Administration or related field

Reports directly to Manager of Value Analysis and Contracting. Conducts value analysis and contracting activities in assigned specialty. Creates relationships with physicians, clinicians and staff. Oversees product introduction. Manages vendors. Manages supply, equipment and service formularies in assigned area and promotes adherence. Provides oversight to content management in the database. Introduces new contract offerings through resource managment team meetings and site based section meetings. Identifies contract opportunities, utilization improvements and standardization opportunities through data mining activities.

This position is located at Exempla Lutheran Medical Center but supports system wide materiels management initiatives such as contracts and negotiation. Travel to other sites might be required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

BS/BA degree in Business Administration, natural science or medical-related field. Equivalent experience will be considered.

3+ years experience in a healthcare setting.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Registration or certification in a clinical specialty.

Clinical Value Analysis experience.
