UNIT DESCRIPTION:

The medical/surgical units are 3 separate units. The surgical unit is 32 beds. Medical Clear Creek is 30 beds. Medical Longs Peak which also takes surgical overflow and oncology patients is 32 beds.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Provides education and staff development functions such as planning and implementing orientation, inservice education, and staff development and student experiences. Maintains active communication among medical staff, interdepartmental staff and organization. Assists with competency continuum development for assigned department(s).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Graduate of an approved school of nursing , Bachelor's Degree in nursing, health care area, or education preferred. JOB DESCRIPTION:

Provides professional long term care nursing including Medication Administration, Health Management, Legal and Ethical Issues, Nutrition and Metabolism, Elimination, Activity and Rest, Cognitive Perceptual Issues, Coping and Stress Issues, to a group of assigned residents. Management and care of residents with impaired physical mobility such as OA, Fractured Hip, Arthritis, MS, Parkinsonism. Management and care of residents with sleep deficits. 7) Cognitive-Perceptual: Management and care of residents with altered thought processes such as Dementia, Delirium, schizophrenia, and paranoia. Management of residents with sensory perceptual alterations such as vision impairment, deafness. Management and care of resident experiencing pain. 8) Coping and Stress: Management and care of residents with disturbances in self concept such as depression and mania. Exempla Lutheran Medical Center has recently built and opened (June 2010) a new state of the art Perioperative Suites. The Perioperative services consists of 12 OR suites, one of which is desigated for Cardiac Surgery. The new state of the art center also includes the Davinci Robot for surgical procedures. The Perioperative services perform approximately 800 surgical procedures per year, with 200 of those procedures cardiovascular. There are approximately 13-24 open heart surgeries per month.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Provide professional nursing care through assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation, and education. Meet the needs of the patient, family and multi-disciplinary team through communication, coordination, evaluation, and service excellence. Proficient in the use of computer programs/software technology. The CVOR RN will be responsible for having knowledge in both circulating and scrubbing into cardiac surgery cases. The CVOR RN will be responsible for assisting and aiding the cardiovascular surgeon while performing open heart cardiacvascular surgical procedures, not to include heart transplants. The working shifts will be either 8 or 10 hour shifts and the position requires on-call. The call will be 24-7 starting from 3 pm to 7am and weekends (the number of week and weekend shifts of call will rotate dependent on current staffing levels).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum one year current Cardiac OR experience with knowledge of both circulating and scrubing. Current Colorado Registered Nurse licensed in the State of Colorado in good standing or an approved compact state. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification through the American Heart Association required.

The Registered Nurse opening is with the Homecare section of our new (opened July 2006) stand-alone Hospice/Residence Facility. The inpatient licensed 24-bed facility is located at 3210 Lutheran Parkway on the Exempla Lutheran Medical Center campus. This inpatient facility provides multidisciplinary care for hospice appropriate patients, usually but not limited to patients over the age of 60. This unit is staffed with a solid team of RNs,LPNs,CNAs and an essential group of volunteers. The Center is outfitted with features that benefit the patient, family and community including: 100% private rooms, easy access to outdoor spaces including secure, quiet inner courtyards, space for private family gatherings, non-denominational chapel/meditation room, reference library, and community gathering place for educating people of all ages, and to accomodate support groups and other activities and events. Homecare Nurses provide vital services to patients that wish to seek hospice care in the privacy of their own homes.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Provides shift leadership and serves as the shift clinical resource. Assistance with the management of staffing resources and patients. Works under the supervision of the Clinical Manager/Director. Assist on the unit to coordinate patient care activities and maintain quality of care in accordance with unit policies and procedures. Supervises and/or provides direct patient care.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

" BSN preferred " Three years nursing experience " Two years leadership experience preferred " Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required " Current license to practice nursing in Colorado " Current BCLS certification " Current NRP, except Peds " Pediatrics current PALs

The Surgicare department is a busy, 5 operating room department. We perform bariatric surgery, robotic surgery, plastics, gyn, general, & ENT. We're open Monday thru Friday with some "call" requirements.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Graduate of an approved school of nursing required.

Required experience as identified for area: 2+ years operating room RN experience & experience in manager duties preferred, but will consider for the right candidate.

Licensure as a Registered Nurse in Colorado or a Nurse Licensure Compact state required. Within 30 days of establishment of permanent residence in Colorado, must have Registered Nurse licensure from Colorado.

American Heart Association BCLS Healthcare Provider certification required.

** This position is for the shift specialty coordinator (SSC) within the OR. Responsibilities include operating as charge RN on most day; maintaining appropriate staffing for the surgical cases; supporting staff and physicians when necessary; monitoring time & attendance; completing variance reports; and supporting the manager with additional tasks. **
