in many cases, we pair new graduates with unit experienced preceptors to carefully

The Exempla Experience recognizes the key ingredients to building strong partnerships in
healthcare: patients, families, community, physicians, and patient caregivers. We take
the time to listen, communicate, learn, and educate our physician and clinical partners
in order to ensure the best possible patient care is delivered. At each facility,
you'll find a professional, strong family spirit within the unit and supporting staff,
a spirit that encourages participation and builds stability.
As a graduate Nurse with Exempla Healthcare, you will
have a multitude of choices, both in terms of the full spectrum of specialties we have
as well as our types of facilities-from a downtown teaching hospital to a community-based
suburban hospital to a brand new state-of-the-art medical
center.
Each new grad has one week of classroom time as well as preceptor support for at least
eight weeks. You have the option of hiring into a specific unit or rotating into different
units, which could include Medical/Surgical or Critical Care Step-down.
Resources are available 24/7 to support you and provide the safety and
security you need. These include:
- Rapid Assessment Team
- COR Zero team (average response time 1.5 minutes)
- Physicians and house staff
- Highly experienced shift supervisors and staff
- 24/7 pharmacy and lab
Special new grad education programs are provided throughout the first
year. Additional in-house programs are available such as:
- Critical Care Course
- Peri-Operative Nurse Internship (PONI)
- Emergency Room Nursing Internship (ERNI)
- L&D Nursing Internship
- Computer classes available at no cost
